Thomas Jacoby, an 18-year-old from Pennsylvania, was last seen on July 1, 1991. He left his father's home in Gretna, Pennsylvania, claiming he was going to a local high school for some odd jobs, but never returned. The following day, his girlfriend received a letter from Jacoby in which he explained that he was leaving, apologizing for putting her in the middle of his personal struggles, and suggesting they would never see each other again.
