Ruben Martinez, a 30-year-old man from Concord, California, was last seen on the night of February 13, 2000. His wife reported that he had been asleep when she left for the store, but upon returning two hours later, Martinez had left their home. He was driving a red 1992 Toyota truck. Shortly afterward, he contacted his wife, explaining that he had gone to Pleasant Hill and would return soon, but he never did.
Weeks later, on April 2, 2000, his truck was discovered submerged in the Sacramento River near Walnut Grove. Divers found the vehicle after it was spotted by a passing trucker, but there were no signs indicating that anyone had drowned inside or safely exited the vehicle. Since then, there has been no further contact from Martinez, and his case remains unsolved. The police continue to seek information on his disappearance, hoping to find answers.
