In the late evening of September 22, 2005, 42-year-old Arthur 'Art' Johnson, Jr. and his sister-in-law, Charlene Johnson, 37, departed from Dillingham, Alaska, for a duck hunting trip. The two, accompanied by their yellow Labrador named Flash, set out in a 16-foot Lund boat, heading northeast of the city.
