Demetrio Sanchez Lopez, a 47-year-old man, was last seen on November 23, 2015, while attempting to cross the Rio Grande from Mexico into Texas, near McAllen. Originally reported missing after attempting to make this perilous journey, Demetrio has not been heard from since that day. His disappearance occurred during an illegal border crossing, a dangerous and often fatal route due to the treacherous conditions of the Rio Grande.
