In the winter of 2017, a 61-year-old man named William 'Bill' Frank Mellis III vanished from St. Louis, Missouri. The last confirmed day anyone had contact with him was February 9, 2017. At the time, Bill was navigating a difficult period in his life, living a homeless lifestyle. He had found temporary shelter with a family member at the La Salette Apartments in St. Louis.
