Krista Rae Bowman, a 32-year-old woman, was last seen on March 14, 2017, when she left her mother's home in Morongo Valley, California. She was driving her silver Toyota Avalon to visit her boyfriend, Christopher Starr Perfect, in Colorado. Krista maintained communication with her family through Facebook, with her last known contact occurring on April 15, 2017, when she was in Fort Garland, Colorado. After that, all communication ceased.
Her family became increasingly concerned when they could no longer reach her, as it was out of character for Krista to cut off contact, especially given that she had a young daughter. Christopher Starr Perfect, a convicted felon, was arrested in Wyoming in May 2017, but he claimed to have no knowledge of Krista’s whereabouts.
In May 2018, her car was found abandoned at an apartment complex in Taos, New Mexico. The car had been sitting in the lot for months, and inside were some of Krista’s belongings, though there were no signs of foul play or clues regarding her location. Despite an ongoing investigation, Krista Bowman’s case remains unsolved, and her family continues to seek answers regarding her disappearance.
