On December 10, after her disappearance, her white Toyota RAV4 was found parked at Doheny State Park, with her German Shepherd inside a cage in the locked vehicle. It was highly uncharacteristic of Claudia to leave her dog unattended, which raised immediate concerns.
Claudia’s kayak, a gray "Pongo" with a black seat, was never recovered, and authorities suspect that she may have encountered trouble in the choppy waters of the harbor due to the windy conditions that day.
