In the summer of 2018, the community of Harrah, Washington, was unsettled by the disappearance of a local man, 43-year-old Jose Francisco Canales. A married father of seven, Canales was a familiar face in the small agricultural town. On July 6, 2018, he was seen at La Guadalupana, a local store and restaurant, where he cashed his paycheck.
