On August 4, 2018, 57-year-old Maria Teresa Libacka, a tourist from Poland, embarked on what was meant to be a scenic sightseeing flight over the breathtaking glaciers of Denali National Park in Alaska. She, along with three other Polish nationals, boarded a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver aircraft operated by K2 Aviation, departing from Talkeetna.
