Lyrian Wyvonne Barry-Stallings, a 22-year-old mother, disappeared on July 1, 1960, after boarding a Greyhound bus in Columbus, Mississippi, bound for St. Louis, Missouri. She had planned to stay with her aunt in St. Louis and hoped to start a new life for herself and her young daughter, Gloria, following a troubled relationship with her partner, Eulice "Eddie" Stallings, who was known for his controlling behavior and involvement with drugs.
