On a crisp autumn day, the last day of October 1983, 36-year-old Hunter Homer Wells was on a flight from Nondalton to Kenai, Alaska. The aircraft, a Cessna 206 with the tail number N9975, carried three other individuals: Dewey Bailey, Sheila Cella, and John Cushman. Communication with the small plane was lost during its journey, and it never arrived at its intended destination.
