Joseph Richard Kempter, a 63-year-old man from Topeka, Kansas, was last seen on July 5, 2004. At the time of his disappearance, he was living in a nursing facility on Southeast Republican Avenue in Topeka. Kempter, who was described as 6'1" tall and weighing between 175 and 260 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes, had a humpback and walked with his head down.
