In the small town of Greeneville, Tennessee, the Thanksgiving holiday of 2016 took a somber turn for the family of Jackie Ray Setser. On November 24th, the 37-year-old man was reportedly dropped off at an acquaintance's home on Kingsport Highway. This would be the last confirmed sighting of Jackie. He was last seen on foot leaving a residence at 2 Bolton Road in Greeneville. His family grew concerned after several weeks passed with no contact, which was out of character for him, and officially reported him missing on December 14, 2016. At the time of his disappearance, Jackie was described as a white male, standing between 5'8" and 5'10" tall and weighing between 145 and 155 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Jackie has several distinct tattoos that his family hoped would help in identifying him. These include the word "OUTLAW" in Old English script on the inside of his left forearm, a snake or viper head on his right hip, a tribal design of a tiger on his upper back, and three initials on his other inner forearm. He also has some writing tattooed on the side of his neck. He sometimes went by his middle name, Ray, or the nickname Jack. The Greene County Sheriff's Office is the investigating agency in his case and has sought any information that could lead to understanding what happened to him.

Despite the passage of time, the investigation into Jackie Setser's disappearance has yielded few answers, and his case remains unsolved. Law enforcement has not ruled out the possibility of foul play in connection with his vanishing. His family has endured years of uncertainty, actively searching for answers and closure. The circumstances surrounding the day he was last seen are still unclear, leaving a void in the lives of those who know and love him. The case serves as a painful reminder of the many individuals who go missing, leaving their families in a state of perpetual waiting and hope. The investigation remains open, with authorities encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
