Matthew James Smith, a 34-year-old man from Valdese, North Carolina, went missing on November 8, 2018, after his vehicle was found abandoned at the Viking Mountain Trail in Greene County, Tennessee. His personal belongings, including his cell phone and cigarettes, were left inside the vehicle, raising immediate concerns about his whereabouts.
