On December 20 and 21, 2013, Philip Carl Raush, a 56‑year‑old man from Ann Arbor, Michigan, departed from his home on foot, telling his significant other he intended to walk to California. He was last seen in Ann Arbor on December 21, 2013. When he did not arrive in California, his partner reported him missing on January 31, 2014.
