A Quiet Morning Turns Into a Nightmare
On the morning of April 5, 2018, four-year-old Rondreiz Cortez “Junior” Phillips was playing outside his family’s mobile home on Howard Road in Lisbon, Louisiana. His mother, Sheila Phillips, was inside the house, while her boyfriend, Nicholas Gilbert, worked on a vehicle nearby. When Sheila went to check on Junior, he had vanished without a trace.
The Immediate Search Efforts
Upon realizing Junior was missing, his family initially believed he might have wandered to a nearby relative's house. When he wasn't found there, they contacted authorities. The Claiborne Parish Sheriff's Office, along with volunteers and the FBI, launched an extensive search.
