Tammy Brena Fortson, a 28-year-old African-American woman, vanished on October 2, 1997, in Conyers, Georgia. She was last seen in the Christian Circle area, reportedly leaving on foot to go to the store. Despite the routine nature of her errand, Tammy never returned home, and her whereabouts remain unknown to this day.
