On April 1, 2020, Lucinda Denise Farris, affectionately known as "Cindy" or "Sweet P," left her mother's home on Green Street in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, accompanied by a friend. That was the last time anyone saw or heard from her. Standing at 5'4" and weighing 105 pounds, Lucinda was a 29-year-old African-American woman with black hair and brown eyes. Lucinda's mother, Marie Farris, has been vocal about the anguish of not knowing her daughter's fate. In a January 2021 interview, she described the pain of Lucinda's absence: "It's been kind of devastating not hearing her texting me, knocking on my door, calling me. It's just a mother's intuition; we can tell when something is wrong." She portrayed Lucinda as a vibrant and giving person who "lights up a room" and "doesn't bother anybody" .
Detective Michael Ognosky of the Winston-Salem Police Department has indicated that authorities have a person of interest in Lucinda's case. While the individual's identity has not been publicly disclosed, investigators believe that the person Lucinda was last seen with may have caused her harm. There is also speculation that Lucinda could be somewhere between Winston-Salem and Atlanta, Georgia, a region spanning approximately five hours by car ....Read More
