A Mother's Sudden Disappearance
In June 2018, 39-year-old Donna Michelle Calloway left her residence in Montgomery, Alabama, and was never seen again. Standing at 5 feet 3 inches and weighing 119 pounds, Donna was a Black woman with black hair and brown eyes. She had two distinctive tattoos: her middle name, "Michelle," on her left leg, and a rose with the name "Annie" on her left thigh . Despite her mild intellectual disability, Donna was capable of working, cooking, and performing household tasks. Her family emphasized that she was easily influenced and would not defend herself if placed in a harmful situation.
Delayed Response from Authorities
After Donna's disappearance, her sister, Kawonna Abner, attempted to file a missing persons report. However, the Montgomery Police Department did not accept the report until August 2019, over a year later. This delay meant that Donna's official missing date was recorded as August 28, 2019, rather than June 2018.
