On January 2, 2026, the community of Waverly, Tennessee, was shaken by the discovery of a tragic event that claimed the life of 4-year-old Arius Thompson. The young boy was found deceased in his home from gunshot wounds. Arius was a joyful child, born on February 27, 2021, who loved playing with his cat, Pumpkin, riding his tricycle, and exploring nature.
