A New Year’s Vanishing Act
On January 1, 2016, 32-year-old Linda Skeek disappeared from her Anchorage, Alaska, home under suspicious circumstances. Her husband, Thomas Skeek Jr., reported that after an argument in the early morning hours, Linda left their residence on foot, intending to go to a bar. She was never seen again. Thomas reported her missing on January 4, three days later, at the urging of Linda's foster mother, Rena Sims.
A Troubled Marriage
Linda and Thomas's relationship was fraught with difficulties. In November 2015, Linda filed for a protective order against Thomas, citing physical abuse, including an incident where he allegedly grabbed her arm and pushed her, leaving bruises. She withdrew the petition ten days later, and the couple reconciled.
