On the early morning of August 11, 2018, 59-year-old Janet Denise Hamner was last seen at Moe’s Travel Plaza, also known as Mack’s Travel Plaza, on Highway 82 in Elrod, Alabama. Surveillance footage captured her leaving the plaza alone and on foot around 3:00 a.m. She was wearing a white top, black shorts, and a black and white houndstooth scarf on her head.
