A Quiet November Evening Turns Into a Lifetime of Questions
On November 13, 2016, Juan Reyes, a 16-year-old from Round Lake Beach, Illinois, left his home on foot and vanished without a trace. Described as a biracial Hispanic and white male, Juan stood 5'8" tall, weighed approximately 130 pounds, and had black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black sweater, and white shoes . Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement and the community, no significant leads have emerged in the years since his disappearance.
The Immediate Aftermath: A Community in Shock
The day after Juan's disappearance, the Round Lake Beach Police Department initiated an investigation, registering the case under number 2017-382915 . The suddenness of Juan's disappearance left family, friends, and neighbors in disbelief.
