A Familiar Routine Disrupted
Thai Sailwe Yang, a 36-year-old resident of Collinsville, Oklahoma, was last seen on the evening of June 29, 2019. Known for his daily walks to local establishments such as Walmart, Reasor's, and QT, Thai's routine was a comforting constant for his family. Living with a developmental disability, he communicated at the level of an eight-year-old child and was considered harmless by those who knew him. His family became alarmed when he failed to return home, an unprecedented occurrence in his habitual patterns.
The Immediate Response
Upon realizing Thai was missing, his family promptly reported his disappearance to the Collinsville Police Department. Recognizing the urgency due to his mental disability and the summer heat, local authorities, along with the OKCM Search & Rescue Team, initiated an extensive search.
