Standing 5'4" and weighing 125 pounds, Marilyn was last seen wearing green western pants and a black western shirt. She was also known by the alias Marilyn Mitchell. Despite immediate reporting to the Pueblo Police Department, no trace of her has been found since that day.

Born on December 27, 1943, Marilyn's early life was marked by her family's move from California to Pueblo after World War II. She married Steven L. Pittwood Jr. on August 28, 1963, at the Pittwood family home in Pueblo. Her disappearance came just over two years into their marriage, leaving her family and community in shock.
