A Routine Evening Turns Mysterious

On October 2, 1985, 25-year-old Sheree Warren left her management training at the Utah State Employees Credit Union in Salt Lake City around 6:30 p.m. She planned to meet her estranged husband, Charles "Chuck" Warren, at a car dealership to give him a ride to his home in Ogden, Utah. A Mother's Concern and Initial Investigation

Sheree's mother, Mary Sorensen, became alarmed when her daughter and grandson did not return home as expected. She reported Sheree missing to the Roy Police Department around noon on October 3, 1985. Detective Jack Bell began the investigation by contacting Charles Warren, who claimed he had canceled the meeting with Sheree and instead went for a jog in downtown Ogden. His alibi was supported by his first wife, Alice Mercer, but both later refused to take polygraph tests, raising suspicions .

Discovery of the Abandoned Vehicle
