A Life Interrupted

Jamie Jo Tate, born on June 18, 1987, was a vibrant woman known for her distinctive tattoos and colorful personality. Standing at 5'6" and weighing between 100 to 140 pounds, she had brown hair—dyed pink at the ends at the time of her disappearance—and blue eyes. Her tattoos included a red ribbon with the name "Alma Tate Pullen" and the years "1937-2011" on her wrist, "Why Hope" in a V shape on her upper chest, "Westside 50" behind her left ear, a tribal design on her lower back, a large rose on her lower leg with the name "Bob" underneath, and a cartoon devil on her right foot.

Jamie had a history of substance abuse and suffered from mental health issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder. Despite these challenges, she was deeply loved by her family and friends, who have been relentless in their search for answers since her disappearance.

The Disappearance

Jamie was last seen in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 1, 2020. In the early morning hours, she was heard outside a residence in the 500 block of South Warman Avenue, arguing with her ex-boyfriend, Robert Owen Sorrells Jr. Witnesses reported that Sorrells dragged her inside the residence, and she has not been heard from since.

Their relationship was reportedly troubled, with Sorrells having a history of harassing and stalking Jamie. Just hours before her disappearance, between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on July 31, someone driving a blue car attempted to run her over in the 3800 block of West Washington Street.
