On the evening of June 25, 1992, 15-year-old Melissa Lynn Eck, affectionately known as "Missy," left her boyfriend's residence on Blakely Avenue in Pensacola, Florida, around 8:00 p.m. She intended to walk to a friend's house located near Patricia Drive and Clara Street, approximately a mile away. Her boyfriend accompanied her part of the way before they parted ways.
Melissa never arrived at her friend's home and has not been seen since. She left behind her purse, all of her clothing, and two uncashed paychecks from her new job at The Original Point Restaurant on Innerarity Road.
At the time of her disappearance, Melissa was described as a white female with brown hair and green eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 110 pounds. She had a Norplant birth control device implanted in her upper left arm and a BB pellet embedded in her buttocks, resulting in a scar. Melissa was known for always polishing her nails, typically using conventional colors.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has been investigating Melissa's disappearance since 1992. Despite their efforts, no suspects have been publicly named, and no arrests have been made. Foul play is suspected in her case, which remains unsolved. ...Read More
