On January 6, 1996, 29-year-old Jordan Marie Loucks departed from her hometown of Odessa, Texas, embarking on a trip to meet her ex-boyfriend, a truck driver named Butch Edwards, in Laredo, Texas. Driving a black 1984 Lincoln Continental, Loucks left behind no indication of the peril that awaited her. Edwards later reported that she never arrived at their planned meeting location. Since that day, neither Loucks nor her vehicle has been seen again.
Shortly after her disappearance, a suitcase containing Loucks's belongings was discovered in a remote area of Big Bend National Park, a vast and rugged expanse in southwestern Texas. Additional personal items were found near the town of Lajitas in Presidio County, close to the Mexican border. These findings suggest that Loucks may have traversed a considerable distance from her intended route. Despite these discoveries, there was no sign of Loucks herself at either location.
Loucks was known to use aliases, including Wendy Lou Josephine Niziol and Wendy Lou Niziol. She had blonde hair, blue eyes, and wore eyeglasses. At the time of her disappearance, she stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed approximately 112 pounds. The use of multiple names adds a layer of complexity to the investigation, potentially hindering efforts to trace her movements and contacts.
The black 1984 Lincoln Continental that Loucks was driving bore the vehicle identification number (VIN) 1LNBP96F4EY643556. The car's license plates were undetermined, and it has never been recovered. The absence of the vehicle has deprived investigators of a critical piece of evidence that could have provided insights into Loucks's disappearance....Read More
