A Fateful Day on the Tanana River
On July 28, 1993, 17-year-old Joseph Brooks disappeared near the Tanana River in Delta Junction, Alaska. According to official records, Joseph slipped and fell into the river near the Tanana Bridge at mile 275.5 of the Richardson Highway. Despite immediate search efforts, he was never recovered. The Alaska State Troopers, who continue to list his case as active, have not confirmed his death, leaving his status as missing.
The Search and Investigation
Following Joseph's disappearance, the Alaska State Troopers initiated search operations in the area surrounding the Tanana Bridge. The river's strong currents and challenging conditions hindered recovery efforts.
