A Mother’s Sudden Disappearance
Jessica Lee Ann Hamby, a 24-year-old mother of three from Haleyville, Alabama, vanished under mysterious circumstances in early January 2018. She was last seen after leaving a detox program at Lakeland Community Hospital on January 2, accompanied by another woman. The two departed the facility following a disagreement. Hamby was subsequently dropped off at a residence on Elgin Cochran Road in Hackleburg, Alabama, where she spent at least part of the night.
The Final Communications
In the early hours of January 3, witnesses reported an argument at the Hackleburg residence. Hamby left the house around 6:00 a.m., stating she was going to watch the sunrise. Despite the frigid temperature of six degrees, she was not wearing a coat.
