A Routine Departure Turns Mysterious

On October 28, 1991, 33-year-old Kurt Langer and his crewmate Nghia Nguyen set out from Dutch Harbor, Alaska, aboard the fishing vessel Louise. The plan was straightforward: a five-day fishing trip, a common endeavor in the bustling fishing industry of the Aleutian Islands. However, when the Louise failed to return as scheduled, concern quickly escalated. Search efforts were launched, but neither the vessel nor its crew were ever found, leaving a void in the tight-knit fishing community and a mystery that endures to this day. 

Profiles of the Missing

Kurt Langer, described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, stood at 63 inches tall and weighed 115 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was 33 years old. His crewmate, Nghia Nguyen, a 32-year-old Asian male, also stood at 63 inches and weighed 137 pounds.
