On the morning of September 27, 2019, Charles Joseph “CJ” Browning III and his common-law wife made a routine stop at an IHOP restaurant in the Tillman’s Corner area of Mobile, Alabama. Between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., his wife entered the restaurant to use the restroom. When she returned, CJ was gone.
