On February 28, 2012, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Gregory Scott Ford was last seen in downtown San Angelo, Texas. Earlier that day, he had been booked into the Tom Green County Jail on suspicion of public intoxication and subsequently released on bond. Ford listed a Houston address on his release paperwork, but he never made it there—or anywhere else, as far as anyone knows. Since that early morning, no confirmed sightings or communications from Ford have been reported, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
At the time of his disappearance, Ford was 48 years old. He stood between 5'8" and 5'9" tall and weighed between 145 and 185 pounds. He had light brown hair and green or hazel eyes. Ford bore large scars running along the length of his arm and leg on one side, distinguishing features that could aid in identification. He also had a history of addiction, which may have contributed to his vulnerability and possibly to his disappearance.
The circumstances surrounding Ford's disappearance are perplexing. After his release from jail, there is no record of his movements. He may have been homeless at the time, which could have made him more susceptible to danger and less likely to be reported missing promptly. Despite efforts by law enforcement and the community, few details have emerged about what happened to him after that morning.
The San Angelo Police Department has continued to seek information about Ford's disappearance. In 2020, they renewed their public appeal for assistance, urging anyone with knowledge of Ford's whereabouts or the circumstances of his disappearance to come forward. The Odessa Police Department also assisted in the investigation, highlighting the collaborative efforts to resolve the case. Despite these efforts, the case remains unsolved, and Ford's fate is still a mystery....Read More
