Rose Marguerite Marquez, also known by the names Rosaline Hinesley and “Rosie,” was a 29-year-old California native when she vanished in late 2017. Born on April 22, 1988, she was a petite Hispanic woman, standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair that may have been highlighted blonde. At the time of her disappearance, Rose was residing in Camp Pendleton, a major Marine Corps base in San Diego County, California. Her sudden and mysterious disappearance has left her family and community searching for answers ever since.
Rose was last seen on December 26, 2017, in Camp Pendleton, California. Shortly thereafter, she traveled to Tijuana, Mexico. On December 27, 2017, she made a frantic phone call to her mother, expressing fear for her life and instructing her to tell her children that she loved them. This was the last known contact anyone had with Rose. Her mother believes that Rose may have been trafficked .
Following Rose's disappearance, her mother took to social media platforms, including Facebook groups dedicated to missing Americans in Mexico, to raise awareness about her daughter's case. She provided detailed information about Rose's last known whereabouts and physical description, hoping that someone might come forward with information. Despite these efforts, Rose's case has received minimal media attention and remains unsolved.
The California Department of Justice lists Rose Marguerite Marquez as a missing person, with her disappearance dated December 26, 2017. The case is under the jurisdiction of the Tracy Police Department in California, and her dental records are available for identification purposes .
