A Quiet Night Turns Mysterious
On the evening of December 27, 2008, Thomas J. Esbensen, a 41-year-old resident of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, left his home at approximately 11:00 PM with his brother. As they drove near the intersection of Heller Road and Route 212, Thomas spotted two friends in an off-white pickup truck, described as dirty and rusty with a ladder rack. He decided to join them, getting into the truck, which then traveled north on Heller Road. This was the last confirmed sighting of Thomas.
The Man Behind the Name
Thomas was a white male, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He had blue eyes and blond or strawberry blond hair, which was thinning on top with longer sides and back. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a jean jacket and blue jeans.
