A Quiet Morning Walk That Turned Into a Mystery

On the morning of October 16, 1995, 84-year-old Willie Rudalph Conyers was last seen walking near the intersection of Weston and Carlisle Streets in Raleigh, North Carolina, around 8:45 a.m. At the time, he resided with his son in the 800 block of Weston Street, off Poole Road. Conyers, who was in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, had a history of wandering away from home.

A Community's Search Efforts

Following his disappearance, an extensive search was conducted by local authorities and community members. Despite these efforts, no trace of Conyers was found. His case remains unsolved, and he has not been seen since that day.

Physical Description and Medical Condition

At the time he went missing, Conyers was described as a bald African-American male, standing about 5'6" tall and weighing between 170 to 180 pounds. He had brown eyes and was bowlegged. He was last seen wearing a dark brown pullover shirt with green and red horizontal stripes, tan pants with rolled-up cuffs, and either white or black shoes. Conyers was in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, which contributed to his tendency to wander.

The Ongoing Investigation

The Raleigh Police Department continues to seek information regarding Conyers' disappearance. The case is classified as "Endangered Missing," and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. Despite the passage of time, the case remains open, and efforts to locate Conyers or determine what happened to him persist. ...Read More
