A Quiet Day Turns Into a Mystery
On July 27, 2017, 63-year-old Alvin Darrow spent the afternoon at Lost Peninsula Marina in Toledo, Ohio, working on his boat alongside his eldest son, Jeremy. Around 3:30 p.m., Alvin left the marina to retrieve supplies from his home on Majestic Drive, intending to return shortly. A neighbor later reported seeing Alvin arrive home between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m., where he briefly conversed with her before his youngest son, Timothy, approached. The neighbor departed, noting the frequent heated arguments between Alvin and Timothy. This was the last confirmed sighting of Alvin.
An Unsettling Discovery
Later that evening, friend Rocky Conley arrived at Alvin's residence to collect payment for a truck sale. He found the house unlocked, Alvin's truck parked with keys inside, and his dog unattended.
