Discovery of the Victim
On November 13, 2005, 45-year-old Roger Pleaugh was discovered near 448 W. Georgia St. in Tallahassee, Florida, suffering from severe head injuries. He was found on the sidewalk, having managed to crawl there to call for help. Pleaugh informed the responding officer that he had been drinking, was attacked, and had personal items stolen from him. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Circumstances Surrounding the Attack
Pleaugh had established a makeshift camp behind the location where he was found. The details he provided indicated that he had been assaulted and robbed, but he did not identify his assailants.
