A Life Cut Short

On April 1, 2019, at approximately 2:05 PM, 44-year-old Rodney Gordon was fatally shot in the 3300 block of Alabama Avenue, SE, Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene, but despite their efforts, the perpetrator remains unidentified. This tragic incident has left a void in the community and a family seeking answers.

The Immediate Aftermath

Following the shooting, the MPD launched an investigation, appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to a conviction. Flyers were distributed in multiple languages, including Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Amharic, Chinese, and Korean, to reach a broader audience.
