On the early morning of Saturday, January 3, 2015, at approximately 3:51 a.m., the tranquility of the 2700 block of Bruce Place, SE, was shattered. Residents awoke to the alarming sounds of emergency responders converging on their neighborhood. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 24-year-old Rahji Jerod Ross suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt medical attention, Ross succumbed to his injuries at the scene, marking the beginning of a complex and heart-wrenching homicide investigation.
