On January 2, 2012, Chicago was shaken by the tragic death of 19-year-old Nicholas David Camacho, marking the city's first homicide of the year. Nicholas was fatally shot in the head in the Albany Park neighborhood during the early hours of that Monday morning. This senseless act not only ended a young life full of potential but also left a community in mourning.
Remembering Nicholas: A Community's Loss
Nicholas was a beloved son to Jesus and Magdalena, and a loving brother to Christopher. He was the cherished grandson of Clemente and Maria Torres and the late Natalio and Cecelia Camacho-Delgado. His extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, remember him fondly.
