A Tragic Night on South Bryant Street
On the evening of March 27, 2013, the Denver Police Department received a distressing call reporting a man lying in the street on the 1600 block of South Bryant Street. Officers arrived promptly to find 42-year-old Michael Chavez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, Chavez succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Witnesses at the scene recounted hearing gunshots and observed a dark-colored vehicle speeding northbound on South Bryant Street immediately afterward. This fleeting glimpse of a potential getaway car remains one of the few leads in the case.
