Discovery of the Body

On April 13, 2016, at approximately 1:25 PM, Denver Police Department officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive individual in the alley between the 3200 blocks of High Street and Race Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 35-year-old Marc Koenig inside a dumpster. The Denver Medical Examiner later determined that Koenig had died from blunt-force injuries, indicating a violent assault.

Initial Investigation

The immediate area was cordoned off as investigators combed the scene for evidence. Despite their efforts, there were no immediate leads or witnesses to the crime.
