A Tragic Evening in Southeast D.C.
On the evening of April 7, 2015, at approximately 7:08 PM, the tranquility of the 500 block of Parkland Place, SE, in Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Residents emerged from their homes to find 33-year-old Larry Wallace lying wounded, the victim of a senseless shooting. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, Mr. Wallace succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community in mourning and a family devastated.
The Immediate Aftermath
In the days following the murder, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) launched an intensive investigation. Detectives canvassed the neighborhood, conducted interviews, and gathered forensic evidence from the scene. Despite their efforts, leads were scarce.
