Introduction
On February 2, 2017, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic death of Joseph Ervin Bradford III, a 32-year-old father of five from Elizabethtown. His untimely demise not only left a void in the hearts of his loved ones but also raised concerns about violence in the community. Despite ongoing investigations, his murder remains unsolved, leaving many questions unanswered.
The Incident
Joseph Bradford was found deceased at the intersection of 17th Street and Broadway in Louisville's West End. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office determined that he died from multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities believe that the shooting occurred several blocks away, in an alley near Dixie Highway and Gallagher Street. At this location, another individual was discovered with stab wounds but survived the attack. Police suspect that the two incidents are connected. Following these events, the Louisville Metro Police Department's SWAT team conducted a search of a nearby residence but did not find any suspects inside.
