On the early morning of April 17, 2016, the vibrant community of Adams Morgan in Washington, D.C., was shaken by a tragic event. At approximately 3:11 a.m., 35-year-old Jayvon Marshman was fatally shot in the 2500 block of Mozart Place NW. Marshman, a resident of Southeast D.C., was known for his warm personality and dedication to his family and friends. His untimely death left a void in the hearts of those who knew him and sent shockwaves throughout the neighborhood.

The Night of the Incident

Details surrounding the events leading up to the shooting remain scarce. According to reports, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to calls of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Marshman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Tragically, he exhibited no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene.
