Early Morning Tragedy on West 27th Street
On June 14, 2015, at approximately 6:05 a.m., the tranquility of Indianapolis' Near Northside was shattered by gunfire. Emergency responders arrived at the 1300 block of West 27th Street to find 48-year-old Gerald Darden suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Eskenazi Hospital, Darden succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community in shock and a family in mourning.
A Life Remembered
Gerald Walter "Piggy" Darden was a 49-year-old resident of Indianapolis. His obituary reflects a man who was cherished by his community and loved ones. Services to honor his memory were held on June 27, 2015, at Barnes United Methodist Church, followed by interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. ...Read More
