On the evening of December 21, 1993, at approximately 10:10 PM, the tranquility of Washington, D.C.'s 1300 block of 1st Street, NW, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Ms. Ericka Baker was fatally shot, her life abruptly ended in a senseless act of violence. Despite the passage of over three decades, her murder remains unsolved, leaving a void in the hearts of her loved ones and the community.
The Immediate Aftermath
Following the incident, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) launched an intensive investigation into Ms. Baker's death.
