A Fateful Night on Columbine Street
In the early hours of May 19, 2010, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Anchorage Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Columbine Street. Passers-by had discovered a severely injured male adult lying on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, officers found 24-year-old Edward "Eddie" Duane Yazzie bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Yazzie was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Young Life Cut Short
Born on November 24, 1985, Eddie Yazzie was a lifelong resident of Alaska. Known for his vibrant personality and warm heart, he was cherished by family and friends alike. His untimely death not only devastated those who knew him but also sent shockwaves through the Anchorage community. A service to honor Eddie's life was held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday at Muldoon Baptist Church, followed by another service at 6 p.m. on Friday at Kluti-Kaah Hall in Copper Center, with burial the next day. ...Read More
